Higashi (東) is a Fujou High third-year student and its Cooking Club's member. She is the vice-president of the club.
Background[]
She is the poster girl of her father's ramen shop "Ioran Ramen" (イオランラーメン).

Her father[]
Higashi's father.
She occasionally helps him to serve the customers in Ioran Ramen. According to him, she does not do that often (chapter 107).
As a usual worrywart parent, he shows concerns when she suggests Kenji to house one more person (Funabori) and misunderstands that Higashi is the one who wants to stay at the Kazama house.
Funabori[]
Despite being in the cooking club and, on top of that, being its vice president, Higashi seems to only be able to cook ramen, as shown in Player Hashimoto's Island arc (chapter 49), so she has a certain level of respect for Funabori, who also needs to remind both her and Ōshima for slacking in their job (chapter 107).
After being informed of Funabori's crush on Kenji Kazama and confirmed by the girl in story, she shows her consideration to her clubmate by telling the latter about Kenji's cohabitation with other girls and encouraging Funabori to do the same (chapter 107).
Ōshima[]
She considers Ōshima's scrutiny on Funabori as scary in many occassions (chapter 107).
Fukuko Nishinaga[]
As the advisor of their club, Fukuko seems to trust the members enough to even bet their cookies with Boruta Torada against the other teachers, Shawn Konekone and Minami Ōsawa, in the Former Student Council vs. the Game Development Club (Temp) phone tag game (chapter 34).
Muromi[]
As per Kudanshita's observation, their ramen shops have a long-time rivalry against each other's (chapter 42).
Kudanshita[]
At the (Temp) Club's console tournament, Kusshi explained to Kenji about the rivalry between Higashi and Muromi, and to a greater extent, their parents' ramen shops. Kusshi seems to be close enough to Higashi to call the latter "Higashi-chan" (chapter 42).
Kenji Kazama[]
She joined the console game tournament, as per Kudanshita's interpretation, to settle down a match with Muromi (chapter 42). Kenji though remembered her, together with Ōshima, as the cooking club members who "only know how to make noodles" (chapter 41).
Kenji met her and the club while they were in Player Hashimoto's Island (chapter 49).
They then meet in Ioran Ramen when she is helping her father. Her observation and meddling leads to Funabori's overstay at Kenji's house one night (chapter 107).
Later, she appears in the cooking club when Chitose Karasuyama invades the clubroom for Funabori's protection (chapter 141). Her fantasy about a possible Chitose-Kenji marriage leads to Chitose to be determined to solve her problem once and for all (chapter 142). Kenji seems to have received Higashi's rock salt to help Chitose's cause (chapter 143).

- Higashi (東) means "east."

- Like everyone else, her name (together with Ōshima) seems to be a reference to the Higashi-ōjima station.
